The Foundry: Created for More

The Foundry: Created for More
God in the Foundry; meticulously crafting.

Welcome to the Foundry

After years of living in fear of failure, it was passion — and my love for the feeling of discovery — that brought me here!

The Foundry is my place to jot thoughts, explore revelations, and share them with whoever is figuring out life too. It's for those that feel that they are created for more and for those who seek to inherit their ultimate and divine purpose in life.

It's also an invitation to join together in the active pursuit to seek after Jesus. The author and finisher of my life, and the only reason I have "hope for a better future" (Jeremiah 29:11) and the reason I know that I am "fearfully and wonderfully made" (Psalm 139:14).

I'm not writing this to say I've figured it all out but to invite others on the journey of figuring it out too - so we can do it together.

What is the Foundry?

Accepting Jesus as my Lord and savior gives me salvation, but seeking after the will of God, and your ultimate purpose in it, takes work.

It's our desire to pursue sanctification that ultimately makes us more like Jesus and brings us in alignment with God's will. But just like the iron in the fire of the Foundry - this world is a practice ground that constantly has us engaging in trials, battles, and the unforeseen events that make life difficult.

I believe, and so does scripture, that these are blessing and that we can even "take joy" (James 1:2) in having them. Sometimes it doesn't feel like a blessing but through community and the recognition that we are in the furnace being strengthen, we embrace the "final" result of who we are destined to be.

Why me?

I don't know!

Over the last few years I've embraced journaling and found it to be such a healing place for me to pray, reflect, and see my growth. It's not so much that I feel like I have something to share but I can put them in a place that not only benefits me but others.

I’ve been making a concerted effort to do what I call, "living my life at 100%" — by really paying attention to what lifts me up and what drags me down. Sometimes that looks like simple things, like changing my diet or working out more because it makes me feel good. But other times, it’s much deeper. I had to confront my tendency to people please — constantly filtering myself for the sake of approval. Sure, it helped me manage how people saw me, but it left me exhausted and unseen. Letting that go was hard, but necessary.

I can count it all a blessing that I gained understanding of what to keep, leave, and adopt to find myself at 100% and honestly, writing makes me feel at 100% so I'm doing that 😊

What YOU can expect from this space...The Foundry

I would love to share my pursuit in all things - the journey of my career, finding my purpose, finding financial freedom, growing strength in community, and encountering true love on earth! Hopefully in the future I can talk about managing fame, what to do with your first million dollars, and how to find peace on another planet...but we'll get there 😉
